The treasure is in your sights, just a few steps away, but in the world of the Crazy Labyrinth for Nintendo DS, the shortest of walks can turn into the longest of journeys.
Based on the board game of the same name, Crazy Labyrinth lets players step into the role of Alok, a young archaeologist who enters one labyrinth after another, hunting for precious artefacts. With these riches, Alok hopes to secure his father’s freedom from the clutches of the wicked Mr. Hoppert.
But Alok isn’t the only one racing after relics in such locales as Egypt, Mexico and the Antarctic. Rivals also lurk in these mysterious labyrinths where the passageways actually move, creating different dead ends and openings. Because of the ever-shifting maze, your wits will need to work overtime to not only reach the treasure first but also to make it out of the labyrinth in one piece.
However, sometimes your rivals can also be your friends – that is, when you play Crazy Labyrinth’s multiplayer mode. Whether you connect wirelessly to another DS, use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for online play or use one DS in pass-around ‘hot seat’ mode, you and up to three friends can spend hours tracking down treasure and winding your way through the ultimate maze.
Is there really no way out? You’ll just have to find out for yourself.
